The Annual General Meeting of Tech Shed Frome will be held online at 7pm on Wednesday 15th June 2022
To attend and vote at this meeting you must be a member of Tech Shed Frome, i.e. you must have submitted the membership form and paid your £5 membership fee.
An agenda will be emailed to all members prior to the meeting. Please email team@techshedfrome.org if you would like to propose an item for the agenda.
About Tech Shed Frome
We are constituted as an unincorporated association, ‘an organisation set up through an agreement between a group of people who come together for a reason other than to make a profit (for example, a voluntary group or a sports club)’. The unincorporated nature means that the assets are jointly owned by the members. Members would also be personally responsible for any debts and contractual obligations, so we avoid any such arrangements.
We operate according to our constitution. Some of the key information is summarised here.
Management Committee
The business of the group is carried out by the Management Committee, which is drawn from the Members and elected at the Annual General Meeting. You can email the committee at team@techshedfrome.org.
Although it’s not a legal requirement to have officers, we’ve chosen for practical reasons to assign the roles of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer to individuals. This is done by the committee at its first meeting after the AGM).
The committee meets as needed throughout the year.
Annual General Meeting
This is an opportunity for the committee to report back to the Members on the activities of the past year and the state of the accounts. It is also an opportunity to discuss and vote on any important decisions that need to be made by the membership as a whole, such as a change to the constitution.
The committee for the coming year is elected at the AGM. Any member may put themselves up for election, though we encourage prospective candidates to have first demonstrated their commitment to helping run Tech Shed. Please email team@techshedfrome.org if you would like to do so.
