Yesterday (2019-09-25) we unboxed a load of deliveries, having sorted out an initial shopping list last week. Then we got dug in with an Arduino and selected - from the very many sensor modules we now have - the temperature sensor just to get started. And it worked! (Of course it worked.)
We have lots of possibilities now - so many sensors, and a display, and an LED light strip - so next week we might try to make something which works as an entertaining demo. Or even a useful demo.
We’re also thinking of ways to get our sensor-computer combinations networked so we can connect up with our web ideas.
